Beachside Music Lessons and Therapy is proud to present our Social Skills Groups!
We welcome kids and teens to join us in learning and practicing new social skills in a welcoming, positive, and friendly environment. Beachside Music will host a 10-week group that will be developed and tailored to meet the group participants needs and will focus on increasing peer interactions, making friends, and navigating social situations through discussions, demonstrations, practice, and fun activities. Our group of Ages 5-12 will meet from 3:30-4:20 pm and our group of Ages 13-17 will meet from 4:30-5:20 pm. We keep our group sizes small (10-15 participants) to ensure everyone gets a chance to have meaningful conversation and interactions during each group. Participants who attend include kids from homeschool, private, public, and sometimes special education schools. Group members are diverse, usually medium-high to high functioning and may have a disgnosis of ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, high functioning autism spectrum disorder, social anxiety. etc. Some participants are typical functioing and attend to help with shyness and making new friends. Please note: This groups is not designed for kids who are agressive, require 1:1 attention, or have severe medical issues. Most of our group member want more friends or longer lasting friendships.
Our group will be hosted at The REC Center located at 4655 City Center Circle, Port Orange, FL 32129.
Group Times:
Kids Clubhouse Social Group: Ages 5-12 - Wednesdays 3:30-4:20 pm
Teens Meet Social Group: Ages 13-17 - Wednesdays 4:30-5:20 pm

June - 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
July - 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st
August - 7th, 14th* (*End of Class Celebration)
Our Summer class will be hosted at Beachside Music Lessons & Therapy's Deland office located at 613 E. New York Avenue, Deland, FL 32724
This 10-week class series will cost $40 per class, billed into three payments of $133.35 via auto-billing with $133.35 due at registration. Class tuition will include; 10 classes of group instruction, materials for class, and end of class celebration.
Summer 2024 Payment Schedule:
Due at Registration - $133.35
July 1st - $133.35 (auto-billed)
August 1st - $133.35 (auto-billed)
All registrations are final. No refunds will be offered nor processed. Please ensure your commitment to this 10-week class series before completing the registration. If you have any questions please CLICK HERE. Upon completion of the below registration you agree to the future payment of $133.35 on 7/1 and 8/1. If payment is not made within 5 days of the above dates, a $30 late fee will be added to that payment amount.
Please note that absences are INCLUDED and make-up sessions will not be available.
Note: This group can be reimbursed through The Family Empowerment Scholarship (formerly known as the Gardiner Scholarship) and may be covered under CMS and Sunshine insurance plans. Direct billing for The Family Empowerment Scholarship is not available for this class, but we can provide a receipt for reimbursement, just let us know and we can get it to you! Questions?
